Job Description

Trillium Technical is now seeking a Chief Engineer of Software Engineering for direct-hire in Lisle, IL!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead a team developing solutions to sustaining and new embedded requirements
• Lead a team to Identify, troubleshoot, contain, and permanently correct engineering issues in the embedded solutions
• Work with other functional Chiefs in the embedded V-cycle (product delivery, architecture, requirement, design and test) and coordinate activities to deliver in time
• Work with Controls and Software quality group as well as Corporate Quality team on any customer issues identified and solve them in a timely manner
• Effectively communicate with senior management on major issues during development as well as post-production of embedded solutions
• Be responsible for three teams under the purview of this role and hire, train per plan and manage knowledge development of the team members to effectively deliver solutions now and in the future keeping up with the fast-changing technology area
• Oversees overall engineering functions.
• Responsible for leading the processes, problem solving and implementing solutions to the most complex and high-risk engineering issues.
• Provides leadership on a broad basis; influences technical and regulatory standards bodies.
• Serves as a critical asset in helping Corporation influence the engineering strategy of key partners.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
• At least 10 years of experience in product design/development
• At least 4 years of experience managing technical professionals and technical staff in engineering and design activities
OR
• Master’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
• At least 8 years of experience in product design/development
• At least 4 years of experience managing technical professionals and technical staff in engineering and design activities
OR
• PhD in Engineering or Engineering Technology
• At least 6 years of experience in product design/development
• At least 4 years of experience managing technical professionals and technical staff in engineering and design activities
